Zimbo Living

I’m South African by birth; Canadian by heart and Zimbabwean by choice.Since my mother was born here, I grew up with a constant flow of Zimbabweans or ex-Zimbos who shared all of these stories of how tough life was in Africa. But amazingly all of these true stories that sound unbelievable to the rest of us always ended with the motto “next year will be better”.

No matter what, this country and its people have been t

hrough, their culture of hope is still strong.  It is this culture that fascinates me and inspires me every day. I want to see the positive and one day raise my kids with the same philosophy.

This is where I share my view on all the uniquely Zimbabwean experiences that still baffle me 2 years on and sometimes the insanity of politics messing with our daily lives make it on here too…
